Day 04-21-18 - The Brontë Sisters
A tribute to the Brontë Sisters, on April 21st, the 202th birthday of Charlotte Brontë (1816 - 1855). Simplified their portraits in a pseudo-animate style, based on the only painting of the sisters by their brother Branwell (1817 - 1848), rearranged with Charlotte in center top, Emily (1818 - 1848) in lower left, and Anne (1820 - 1849) in lower right. Day 04-20-18 - Joan Miró
A tribute to Joan Miró (1893 - 1983), Catalan surrealist artist, for his 125th birthday. The composition mixed one of his portrait with The Farm (1922) and The Harlequin's Carnival (1925). Since Miró shares birthday date with the biggest monster of 20th Century, Adolf Hitler, I mixed him in there upside down to symbolize art and creativity triumph over chaos and wars.
