A graphic tribute to South African anti-apartheid leader and president Nelson Mandela (Jul 18th, 1918 –Dec 5th, 2013) for his 100th birthday, with a stylized portrait of him using the color scheme from the flag of South Africa.

Day 07-17-18 - A Flag of Dragon and Tiger
A tribute to my big sister Hennessy and my friend Eliot, both born on July 17th in the year of the Tiger.
I just learnt about the national flag of Republic of Formosa (1895) a few days ago visiting the National Taiwan museum in Taipei, which features a yellow tiger on a blue background. The reason behind the design was to complement the national Flag of the Qing dynasty (1889), which features a blue dragon on a yellow background.
