Day #15,177 - Fish Riding Bodhisattva II
(2018 - 1995) This is an redrawn illustration of Bodhisattva riding a dragon fish (阿耨觀音), as a gift for my mom's birthday.
I am not a Buddhist so I rarely draw anything religious, but my mom is one all her life and a talented artist who painted many Buddhism art.
Bodhisattva, the goddess of mercy/compassion, best known as Guan-yin (觀世音菩薩/觀音) in Chinese, kinda reminded me of the Holy Mother in terms of visual aesthetic and representation.
