A working in progress tribute to Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890) for his 165th birthday. The composition is fusion of his Bedroom in Arles (1888) with: Starry Night (1889), Sunflowers (1889), Wheatfield with Crows (1890), Skull of a Skeleton with Burning Cigarette (1885), Sorrowing Old Man (1890), and Self-portrait with Bandaged Ear (1889)

Day 03-29-18 - Xena
A tribute to New Zealand actress Lucy Lawless (1968 - ) for her 50th birthday on March 29th, who has been a TV icon as Xena the warrior princess (1995), Number Three in Battlestar Galactica (2004), and Lucretia in Spartacus (2010), all I am a fan of.
The composition is simply Xena throwing her iconic Chakram, her pose is based on a beautiful discus throwing photo of Olympic gold medalist Olga Fikotova Connolly (1932 -).
