After learnt about his tragic life losing his mother Elizabeth Arnold Hopkins Poe and wife Virginia Eliza Clemm Poe to
Tuberculosis, I've decided to include both muses on this illustration. Of course, the bottom portion is my virtual toast to the Poe Toaster.

This is a pen and marker drawing featuring Dali's famous melting clock from Persistence of Memory (1931), a portrait of a lady inspired by Picasso's line drawing of lady Françoise Gilot, and a cartoony tabby cat. Why this? Persistency and meow.
